Risks management and prevention
The Risk sector brings together experts in the management and prevention of industrial, natural and health risks.
Industrial risks in Europe are regulated by the Seveso directive (revised in 2012), while in France, the 2003 Risk Law was strengthened in 2020 after Lubrizol. Natural and climatic risks (floods, fires, storms...) are intensifying, with a cost of USD 270 billion in 2021 (Swiss Re). The NaTech risk, linked to climatic events affecting industrial installations, becomes a priority.
Health risks (pollutants, waves, viruses...) are increasing, influencing the regulation. Risk management is based on monitoring, alerting and vulnerability reduction with constantly evolving technological and organizational innovations.
