Ambient air pollution is one of the main causes of chronic diseases (cancer, diabetes) or strokes and leads to the premature death of nearly 300,000 people in Europe every year (fine particles, nitrogen dioxide, ozone).

Metrology is fundamental in all areas of environmental and climate protection. It helps to prevent risks, but also to assess problems in the event of a problem. Following the Lubrizol fire in Rouen, France launched an action plan for risk prevention and management and adopted seven new regulations.

Visitors to Pollutec will need your help to meet these standards and to find new innovations capable of addressing their challenges:
