This year at Pollutec, INERIS is celebrating its twenty years of providing expertise in industrial risks. These two decades of experience enable the institute to play a decisive role today in working for sustainable development and the development of eco-technologies.
Each day, the Institute’s experts moderate conferences on the INERIS stand (Hall 6, stand F136), dealing with emerging questions and environmental management:
certification of electrical batteries and ‘nano’ work stations, safety of renewable
energy and new sources of energy (hydrogen, photovoltaic, wind, methane
generation), the impact of the CLP regulations, ATEX regulations (explosive
atmospheres), effectiveness of pollutionreduction technologies (Industrial
Emissions Directive), the measurement of air quality and the exploitation of waste…

THE RISKS MARKET IN FRANCE

New measures for improved control of town planning and the better anticipation of the consequences associated with natural and industrial disasters in particular: :

> Introduced by the "risks" law of 2003, the PPRT applies to all SEVESO AS1 class installations. There are nearly 600 such establishments in France that pose the greatest threat out of 500,000 classified installations.

> The 30th November 2010 REACH deadline requires any company launching chemical products on the market in significant quantities to evaluate their impact on the health and the environment in advance.
