Energy

A primary concern for professionals today, energy is more than ever at the heart of current developments as a result of the 2012 Thermal Regulations being introduced as part of the Grenelle Environnement [the French environment initiative].
At Pollutec there are 150 exhibitors and over 500 solutions on hand to help visiting professionals, whether they be end users (manufacturers and local authorities) or specifiers (design office, architects, town planners…), introduce lower energy solutions into their activities.

3 strong themes

> THE ENERGY MIX

In order to offer the various territorial stakeholders relevant information about the solutions that are available today for the introduction of a PCET (territorial climate energy plan), Pollutec encourages an energy mix through the presence of design offices, suppliers of energy from renewable or traditional sources, processes for extracting energy from waste (incineration, recovery of biogas from landfill, methane generation from organic waste and purification plant sludges), offshore and terrestrial wind power, thermal and photovoltaic solar equipment, smart grids and energy storage solutions.

> SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY

The organization and optimization of transport for people and goods, integration into the urban and near urban environment, solutions that use energy more economically… these and other challenges for sustainable mobility confront local authorities and manufacturers, and Pollutec and Buy&Care aim to offer responses by presenting alternative vehicles (electric, hybrid, mechanical…), tools and services to assist mobility, urban logistical solutions (transport and delivery of goods) and web car-sharing services built around Avere France and the Advancity and Lyon Urban Truck and Bus competitiveness centres.

> THE ENERGY EFFICIENCY OF BUILDINGS

Constructing, renovating or managing service sector, industrial and residential
buildings in different ways in order to cut energy consumption and to combat global
warming can sometimes be a difficult challenge.

Energy Efficiency Village
Hall 6 - aisle p - stand N° 212

In order to help you draw up your sets of specifications and then implement them, Pollutec is organizing an Energy Efficiency Village in partnership with the french agencies Ademe, the ATEE, the CICF and the OPQIBI that will present a range of advice, services, training, and finance. It features design offices, organizations dedicated to buildings or energy sources (solar, wind…), services linked to the exploitation of energy and the maintenance of networks, labelling, qualification or certification organizations for training solutions…

> WOOD
+ 6 million toe by 2020: a sector that matters!

Wood is growing at Pollutec, from its collection to the extraction of energy or material via chipping, including the presence of international players in this sector.

> COMMERCE AND DISTRIBUTION WORKSHOPS

The members of PERIFEM (the technical association for commerce and distribution) set two major priorities in 2010 and these will be the subject of round tables at Pollutec:

The energy performance of commercial buildings
Energy performance has been a constant concern for chains since the formation of the association in 1980 and it is currently taking
the form of two studies:
- The high energy efficiency commercial site
- Energy diagnostics for distribution spaces

Exploiting organic waste of companies
Developments in regulations and tax rules are discouraging traditional methods of treating waste and are now forcing businesses to embark on research and evaluation of alternative environmental solutions.

ENERGY FORUM
