2016 edition

This French competition provides recognition for outstanding company actions and projects in the field of the environment. There are 5 categories: eco-product, innovation, circular economy, sustainable development and biodiversity.

The winners will benefit from official recognition for their project from the ministry and ADEME and through various communication activities (video reporting, website, press pack…).

Ségolène Royal, the Minister of the Environment, Energy and the Sea, who is responsible for international climate relations, will present the winners with their awards at Pollutec.

Prix Entreprises et Environnement

5 categories

Eco-product for sustainable development

The winners are:

♦ First Prize: Nexans for its eco-designed medium tension EDRMAX cable
♦ Outstanding SME Award: Capoverde TBR for large format print substrates made from recycled PET
♦ Special Mention for combatting climate change: Biotraq for its model to optimize the perishable product supply chain

Technological innovation

The winners are:

♦ First Prize for technological innovation: AFULudine SAS for its eco-designed lubricating solution intended for shaping metal materials
♦ Outstanding SME Award: Pellenc Selective Technology for its networked Mistral+ machine for the optical sorting of waste
♦ Special mention for combatting climate change: Waga-Energie for its Wagabox, an innovative solution for exploiting the biogas emitted by storage centres and injecting it into the network.

Circular economy

The winners are:

♦ First Prize for the circular economy and Special Mention for combatting climate change: the French tyre manufacturer Michelin for its Effitires and Effifuel management packages for heavy goods vehicle tyres.
♦ Outstanding SME Award: Moulinot Compost & Biogaz for its total bio-waste solution.

Corporate integration of sustainable development

The winners are:

♦ First Prize: API Restauration, a catering company that has prioritized local purchasing, the reduction in food waste (-30%) and energy efficiency (-11% greenhouse gas emissions), as well as its considerable effort devoted to staff training.
♦ 2nd Prize: Peintures Schmitt Hubert et fils, this family VSE with just 4 employees has worked to reduce its impact on the environment (greenhouse gas emissions down 15%), on its production methods (solvent volumes cut by 80% since 2008), its human resources (training, profit sharing and equity) and on sourcing up to 80% of its requirements from local suppliers.
♦ Outstanding SME Award: PIC Bois Gravure, this SME designs, manufactures and installs tourist signage panels and leisure furniture made from environmentally friendly materials.

Promoting biodiversity

The winners are:

♦ 1st prize and Special SME Award: Ecocéan for the Nappex Project
♦ Jury’s Favourite and Special Mention for combatting climate change: La Bêle solution, which covers the whole of France and brings together cattle farmers looking for extra income and nearby companies or local authorities who would like to use grazing for the maintenance of green spaces (CSR approach, reduced costs)
♦ Special Award: Grand port maritime de la Guadeloupe for its Cayoli natural spaces management plan. Launched in June 2016, this will run for 15 years.
